| Uncovered Load Fee | $10 per uncovered loadA load is covered when it is contained by a solid barrier: a tarp, mesh or netting with openings no larger than 1/4 inch, a manufacturer-designed load cover in working condition, or heavy flat objects such as mattresses or plywood secured over the load. Loads that are uncovered, have items falling into the road, have items stacked over the trailer or bed sides, or have items placed on top of straps or a tarp are charged. Higher fines may apply for repeat violations. |
