Recycling	FREEAccepted during open hours. Please remove all recyclable items from plastic bags. Accepted: #1 clear bottles and #2 bottles (rinsed and sorted); mixed papers, bagged shredded clean white office paper only, flattened corrugated cardboard; rinsed tin cans, aluminum beverage cans, scrap iron at the scrap iron pile; used anti-freeze and used motor oil in collection tanks; lead acid batteries; paint. Not accepted: chemical containers, medication (pill) bottles, films (wraps, tarps), bags, Styrofoam, toys, pools, and such.

Mixed trash	$0.04 per pound as read by the scaleIn the case of cars and pickups, there shall be a minimum fee of $5.00 for the first 200 pounds and an additional $0.04 per pound for all waste in excess of 200 pounds.
Construction & demolition	$0.04 per pound as read by the scaleIn the case of cars and pickups, there shall be a minimum fee of $5.00 for the first 200 pounds and an additional $0.04 per pound for all waste in excess of 200 pounds. Notice must be provided to the District at least 2 weeks prior to the start of any demolition project that will generate 100 cubic yards or more of waste.
Tires, bulk loads	$232 per tonBulk tire loads means no other waste types within the load. All tires shall be placed in the tire segregation area as directed by the Scalehouse attendant.
Tires, co-mingled load, six or more tires	$232 per tonCo-mingled loads of passenger car/light truck tires and other waste streams containing six (6) or more tires shall be required to weigh the tires separately. All tires shall be placed in the tire segregation area as directed by the Scalehouse attendant.
Tires, co-mingled load, up to 5 tires	the prevailing District MSW rate plus an additional $8 per tireApplies to co-mingled loads of passenger car/light truck tires and other waste streams. All tires shall be placed in the tire segregation area as directed by the Scalehouse attendant.
Confidential Records	an additional $0.25 per poundAccepted with 24-hours advanced notice. Confidential Records means an acceptable material type that a customer requests to have buried while they observe; these materials will be incorporated into the waste at a District landfill.

Non-Friable AsbestosResidential	$80 per tonThe District landfills are permitted to only allow acceptance of Non-Friable Asbestos; no Friable Asbestos is accepted. All non-friable asbestos disposal requires a case-by-case review and approval process. If acceptance is approved, the generator must provide a minimum 24-hrs advanced notice, the materials will need to be wetted, encapsulated, and sealed in plastic, covered, and secured to the transport vehicle. The generator will need to complete a "Hazardous Waste Disposal" form, which can be acquired from the District scalehouse attendants, and will be required to unload all of the materials, without District assistance, into a designated location.
Non-Friable AsbestosCommercial	$128 per tonThe District landfills are permitted to only allow acceptance of Non-Friable Asbestos; no Friable Asbestos is accepted. Sump Mud means waste materials removed from a sump used for collection at businesses, including but not limited to car washes, mechanic shops, and industrial facilities, requiring lab analysis prior to acceptance.

Specialty items

Specialty items prices at Lander Landfill & Bale Station.
Bio/Medical Waste	$5.00 for each bagAll Bio/Medical Waste must be bagged in Bio/Medical Waste bags purchased from the District. There is no additional fee. Failure to dispose of Bio/Medical Waste in official Bio/Medical Waste Bags bought from the District, or failure to follow disposal procedures, shall subject the individual and/or company to a $750 fine.
Mobile home, motor home, trailer or camper that will not fit on the scale, empty	a flat disposal fee $2,000A valid title is required for all units prior to disposal. Applies to units that will not fit across a District site scale without damaging District property, if the unit is empty of all trash.
Mobile home, motor home, trailer or camper that will not fit on the scale, full of trash	a flat rate of $2,500A valid title is required for all units prior to disposal. Applies to units that do NOT fit on the scale and are full of trash.

Non-resident of the District	twice the established District disposal ratesNon-residents of the District may not use disposal sites of the District except upon prior issuance of formal written permission from the District for such use and prior payment of a fee for such use. The District shall not be obligated to allow use of District disposal sites by non-residents.
Unsecured load	$10 feeSolid waste transported to any solid waste disposal site within the District, whether a landfill, transfer station, baling station, or recycling facility, must be secured. A secured load is securely covered and/or fastened to the transport vehicle. Gravity is not an acceptable method of securement. Any visible effort will be recognized as adequate.
