Flat rate prices at City of Harlingen Transfer Station.
Garbage, trash, brush/yard waste or construction material, 1-2,000 lbsCommercial	flat rate of ninety-three dollars and fifty cents ($93.50) for each loadNon-residents and commercial establishments. The same flat rate is set separately for loads of 1-500, 501-1,000, 1,001-1,500 and 1,501-2,000 lbs. All other vehicles pay per ton.

Monthly exemptionResidential	without application of the above set forth chargesResidents of the city may dump garbage and brush not more than one time during any calendar month and not to exceed 500 lbs in total weight. The exemption requires a city water bill showing garbage charges, issued not prior to 45 days from the date of delivery, in the name of the person requesting the exemption; city personnel may ask for additional identification to verify the water bill names the same person delivering the brush and garbage.

Unsecured load	a fee of $10.00Assessed on vehicles with loads not adequately secured or covered so as to prevent any of the contents of the transported load from being ejected or dropped during transport. Loads must be covered with a tarpaulin or otherwise adequately covered to prevent solid waste from falling or blowing out of the vehicle between the point of pick-up and the point of disposal.
